In qualifying games for the 2018 World Cup, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo both earned reasons to celebrate. Egypt beat Ghana 2-0 yesterday, November 13, 2016, and the Democratic Republic of Congo won 2-1 against Tunisia. Goals for Egypt were scored by Mohamed Salah and Abdallah Saied. This was a big win for Egypt since they haven't qualified for a spot since 1990.
Democratic Republic of Congo won by two goals in the second half. This gives them six points, but Tunisia also has six points currently and only five group winners will qualify to for the 2018 World Cup held by Russia.
